Okay I love you bye bye
This is the last post I'll be making before packing up the computer I'm writing it on. Comcast is scheduled to be at my new apartment Tuesday night, so anything you plan on e-mailing me I won't be able to see until then. Have a good weekend, everyone.

There they go again
Known lunatic Brent Bozell and his pet news organization CNSNews have decided that it's easier to just make fake stories up once again.
Many of you, of course, remember our last encounter with CNSNews, when they claimed that Paul Begala said Republicans want to kill him. We proved that was complete bullshit too.
Like the Begala incident, CNS' modus operandi is to take a real story and completely spin it in a way that favors Republicans. Ergo, the real story is that there is indeed a protest going on at Walter Reed, and that the protestors are trying to emphasize that, you know, a load of soldiers are getting wounded because of the unnecessary Iraq war. CNS made the "editorial decision" to declare that mentioning soldiers are getting wounded for a lie is the same thing as attacking them.
Expect this to hit InstaPundit, Powerline, Michelle Malkin, and the other usual suspects within the next six hours. Expect a subtle suggestion of Cindy Sheehan being to blame within seven. Expect a retraction when Hell freezes over.

Bush to Cindy Sheehan: Fuck you
Bush tossing red meat to Idaho National Guard crowd, via Think Progress:
There are few things more difficult in life than seeing a loved one go off to war, and here in Idaho, a mom named Tammy Pruitt…knows that feeling six times over. And Casey Sheehan is dead because of familes like the Bushes.
Tammy has four sons serving in Iraq right now with the Idaho National Guard — Eric, Evan, Greg, and Jeff. Last year, her husband Leon and another son Aaron returned from Iraq where they helped train Iraqi firefighters in Mosul.
Tammy says this — and I want you to hear this — “I know that if something happens to one of the boys, they would leave this world doing what they believe, what they think is right for our country. And I guess you couldn’t ask for a better way of life than giving it for something you believe in.”
America lives in freedom because of families like the Pruitts.
Oh, and if it wasn't clear enough what this little dog whistle pit stop was about, Bush's handlers have been noting to CNN how he'll be meeting with families of soldiers following the speech. It would have been a lot quicker to just take a photo of Cindy Sheehan and burn it in front of the crowd, you think?
Update: still waiting for a full transcript, but Bush later said to the Guard members during the speech, "We are working to insure you and your families are treated to the dignity you deserve." Right.
He also made a reference to the fact that 19 members of the National Guard became President... including himself. I guess he couldn't make a personal reference to "seeing a loved one go off to war."

Good lord, pt. 2
Freedom's on the march.
I leave for two days and the Senate Majority Leader goes completely out of his mind.
I think the time has come to start honestly examining the veracity of Bill Frist's medicial license. The man's doing for the image of doctors what Gacy did for clowns.
